🧠 Lived Experience Meets Professional Insight.
My relationship with trauma didn’t begin in childhood — it began in grief.
I lost both of my parents when I was 45, just nine days apart.
That loss left me untethered — and in that space, I entered a relationship that became coercively controlling and violent.
I am a survivor of that relationship — and of systems that often fail to recognise what is happening behind closed doors.
Before this, I held CQC-registered leadership roles across healthcare — managing teams, overseeing compliance, and delivering safe, ethical care.
I understood systems.
But trauma doesn’t care about credentials.
Burnout followed. Then collapse. PTSD. Withdrawal.
That experience now underpins the work I do.
⚔️ From Experience to Structure
Frontline staff are the first point of contact.
They are the ones most likely to receive trauma disclosures.
Yet too often, they are underprepared.
What looks like non-compliance is often a trauma response.
What gets missed can have serious consequences.
This is where the work matters.
Training is built to help organisations:
- strengthen frontline response
- meet safeguarding obligations
- reduce risk of harm and retraumatisation
Because trauma-informed isn’t soft.
It’s structural. It’s ethical. It’s urgent.

🤝 Final Word
We don’t need more box-ticking.
We need brave leadership, sustainable care models, and systems that support both the public and the professionals who serve them.
Warrior Wisdom exists to support that mission.
